Troy Davis. Brutal America.
Lynch's law was finally applied, despite the international outcry, by the Georgia judicial authorities, who this morning ordered the execution of Troy Davis. Despite the initial testimony of nine witnesses - seven of whom later recanted what the police pressured them to say - Troy Davis' guilt in the murder of a young white police officer was never proven on the basis of evidence. Addressing the victim's family who applauded his execution, he declared before he died : "I am innocent and I am not the one who killed your son. The fight for justice does not stop with me. The battle is fought for all Troy Davis before me and for all those who will come after me."
